The Breaking Glass Studio, formerly the Body Repair Shoppe, is a place to display the stained-glass art of Meredith Hinds Harris. This website was created as a place to think of, talk, and share healing ideas away from the chaos of everyday life.
What began as a place to share thoughts about healing and movement and balance as a physical therapist is now being used to share the artist’s growth through the creative art of breaking glass to create stained-glass pictures. The main focus of this website is to share creations from the joy of breaking glass.
Meredith Hinds Harris’ glass art has been displayed publicly in many places.

Meredith Hinds Harris’ Art Through the Years

2003
The St John’s Episcopal Church in Sandwich, MA, was gifted by the artist, Meredith Hinds Harris, a glass art piece for one of the windows in the rear of the new section as a post-renovation anniversary celebration.
2021 May
Meredith Hinds Harris was an invited artist at Cotuit Center for the Arts in Cotuit, MA, to display glasswork as part of Neil Masceijewski Johnson's Glass Exhibition.
2022 September
Meredith Hinds Harris made an art donation of the pond in glass as part of the silent auction fundraising at an annual meeting event of the Save Mashpee Wakeby Pond Alliance. She helped raise several thousand dollars for the organization
2022 December
Meredith Hinds Harris received a Mashpee Massachusetts Council for the Arts Foundation Grant Award.
2024
Meredith Hinds Harris donated a 2024 glass art of the town of Mashpee seal to the Mashpee Public Library as a permanent display in the library lobby.
When the new Mashpee seal was created several years ago, all the official vehicles and town buildings displayed the seal. The library was the only town building without a seal. The artist is an avid reader and library patron so she offered the glass seal as a gift to the library. The fabrication of the glass art was partially supported by a grant from the Massachusetts Mashpee Council for the Arts.
